Springer Spaniel Daycare North LondonMy name is Rugby, I’m an English Springer Spaniel, and I go to school at Halo Dogs in London. I wanted to tell you just how much I enjoy my days at the farm. All of my doggie friends and my second family, the Halo crew. I get up every morning so happy and when the doorbell rings I make an excited dash to the door to meet one of the guys, Kris, Jordie, Sal, ………they are so kind to me and sometimes if I am really good they give me a special treat. I try to be a very good boy as everyday my mom gets a report card that tells her what I’ve been up to. She loves them and is so silly as she has saved every one.

My mom is quite busy in London during the day, and although I have the run of the house, it would be forever in doggie time waiting by the door or by the window for her to come home. Instead I play in the fields, or the indoor centre, I go on long walks in all four seasons, or sometimes have a cheeky nap on the picnic table or get a cuddle from one of the guys. When my mom has to a travel or has late late plans I even get to stay overnight. That is so much fun as there are others doggies and we sometimes even have a BBQ. The chicken is my favourite.

My mom says Halo Dogs is one of the most wonderful parts of living in London. She knows they take such good care and are so professional and consistent. She never needs to worry I am safe and happy. Halo Dogs is beyond brilliant. And we cherish the impact they have had on my days.

How lucky am I? My mom found this fabulous place for me to come spend days a dog could only think of whilst in dreamland. And yet it is real, Halo Dogs, my little slice of heaven right here in London! Oh and my sweater? Well I am American, just trying to show my new British doggie friends some love…and yes, I got my name before I moved across the pond. Who knew?!?

English Bull Terrier Daycare London

In a couple of days Winnie, the English Bull Terrier, says goodbye to all her doggy daycare friends in London. She leaves her native England for sunny Athens. She has been a weekly visitor to Halo Dogs for 4 years – since she was a pup. In addition she spent many weeks boarding and just hanging around the pastures and paddocks. I have to tell anyone even considering daycare/play socialisation or boarding use Halo Dogs – there is none better. EBT’s are a handful and unlike any other breed. They exist in contrary motion. The care, concern and support Halo Dogs provided Winnie was excellent. Even when Winnie had a medical event while boarding – we never felt concerned about the care she was receiving. The Vet they use is – tops. The pickup service has always been reliable. Justin has an incredibly well thought out operation that provides dog owners with total peace of mind for our loved furry ones. Winnie says goodbye Merrie Olde England and kisses everyone with the worlds biggest snout.

Zora

Westiepoo LondonZora the Westiepoo is my first dog and she loves her dog day care  time in North London at Halo Dogs. I simply did not anticipate how much time, company and exercise she would need to be a happy, balanced and healthy dog. Add to that some health issues she has had since birth and I was close to being overwhelmed. Thank goodness therefore for the kindred spirits at Halo Dogs. The professionalism, care, warmth and calm shown by Justin and his team exceeds all expectations.  I am completely at ease when I have to go away knowing that Zora is in the best hands and that all her needs will be met.

My favourite moment of the day is when the Halo Dogs school bus comes to pick her up and she does a little dance that I call the Halo Wiggle.  And off she goes without a backward glance! I cannot recommend them highly enough…  Halo Dogs is so much more than a doggy daycare, and it has really made a difference to the quality of both our lives.

Chihuahuas in LondonI cannot rate Halo Dogs highly enough. All their trainers are absolutely delightful and Justin consistently goes above and beyond, helping with training ideas and answering my numerous dog-related questions. They are also flexible, helpful and always go the extra mile.

Halo Dogs are an absolutely pleasure to work with from my perspective and I know the dogs also love going as their tails are always wagging wildly when they get picked up!

Thanks so much!

Ed Jadowski

ed jadowski

History at Halo Dogs: Ed’s career began at the start of 2013. He is so passionate about working with dogs, his first outing was at the Mayhew Hyde Bark event where he took hundreds of dogs around the agility course during the course of a day. Helping to raise hundreds of pounds for charity and get his career off to a flying start in the process. Ed is currently studying towards qualifying as a dog trainer and makes a significant contribution to the high standards we strive to deliver on a daily basis. His nickname ‘Ghost’ is attributed to the fact he is always there, everywhere, whenever you need him.

Best Moment at Halo Dogs: “Watching the rescue’s get rehomed after their rehabilitation. It is sad seeing them go, but enormously rewarding and I love seeing the updates we get of how they get on in their new homes.”

Favourite breed: “French Bulldogs definitely.”

History with Dogs, including current pets: Ed’s love affair with dogs began with his parents rescue Greyhound called Henry. Luckily they both share a common theme… Long legs! So walk elegantly together.

Interests outside of work: Ed’s main passion is music and plays the drums for a band called District Emma who can be seen playing in venues across London. He also has a slightly strange habit of insisting bins are kept exceptionally clean and can often be seen washing them down.. Oh, and actively avoiding hangovers!

Cavapoo LondonHaving read all the other testimonials here, there really is not much more for me to say, and I would echo all those sentiments 100%. To most of us, our pets are family – and the best thing about Halo Dogs is the sense you get that that’s exactly what each of our dogs are to them too. Nothing can give you more comfort than that. They also really understand dogs, so you don’t have any well intentioned but inexperienced people inadvertently spoiling or teaching them unhelpful habits – they help develop confident, balanced dogs. One of the best things is that you can also share in your dog’s day because they post pictures and videos of what they get up to so you don’t feel left out of all the fun.

In addition to all the fun and love they give our dogs, they are also extremely professional, always flexible to step in when needed and deliver exactly what’s promised, day after day after day.

Emily the Cavapoo has been going to Halo Dogs for 13 years now since she was 10 weeks old, and could not be a happier dog; they form part of my absolutely essential support system here in London.

Gracie

miniature schnauzer gracieGracie the Miniature Schnauzer has been attending Halo Dogs since she was about five months old – she is now two years old. She loves it, particularly in the summer when the dogs can take full advantage of the open spaces around the farm for playtime and walks.

I have complete trust in Justin and his whole team and feel completely comfortable with them having access to my property when I’m not there. I also really appreciate the ease of booking, the fact that I can see online what time Gracie has been picked up and dropped off each day and the daily school report cards, which give me an insight into what she’s been up to when she’s not with me.

With Gracie being my first dog, Justin (and Kris who picks her up and drops her off each day) has always been on hand for help, sensible advice and also reassurance when I need it. Gracie has also boarded at Halo Dogs and seems completely at ease with it – which is a big worry off my mind when I have to go away.

Five-star service all round!

George

29 Dec 2013

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel LondonFrom the first moment I brought my beautiful Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, George home, he thought he was a human. He wouldn’t eat dog food from a bowl (much to my dismay he would only eat from a fork which I found out after desperately trying to entice him to his food bowl!) He didn’t like other dogs approaching him, preferring to sit behind my legs whenever another dog tried to play with him at the park. As I work from home we spent so much time together that when I tried to pop out of the flat, George would go into panic mode and it was hard to calm him down. I thought it would be good to get George out of the flat and socialising with other dogs so did some research online. After checking out a few day centre’s in Central London (well not so much day centre’s, more cleverly advertised basements) I almost gave up on the idea until I stumbled across Halo Dogs.

I immediately booked a meeting with Justin and he invited myself and George to check out the farm so we could see what it was all about and so he could assess if George (and me as an owner) were suitable for the centre. Upon arrival we were taken to the indoor day centre which is huge! George bounded round the centre whilst I chatted to Justin. It was so nice to see him stretch his legs in a safe environment. Although we have nice parks in London, its not often you get to see your dog running around off the lead in such a huge space knowing that he is perfectly safe. I was so glad when Justin accepted George into school. It’s hard to hand your pup over to someone else but Justin put me at ease and I knew from looking at the indoor and outdoor facilities that he would have an amazing time and would experience what being a dog is all about, running around fields, playing with other dogs and rolling around in the mud! After his first few weeks with Halo Dogs, George actually started behaving like a dog. He would come home after a day of running around and head straight to his food bowl where he would happily eat his biscuits (gone are the embarrassing fork feeding moments!)  Whilst out on walks he started being more interested in playing with the other dogs rather than hiding from them and he started to become more calm when I left the flat. I was so impressed that after only two days a week with Justin and the team, George had transformed from my confused and shy hairy baby into a pup full of beans and happy to play with other dogs!

Halo Dogs have thought of everything; report cards that keep me updated on what George has got up to in the day, YouTube videos showing all the dogs running around and playing on the farm, onsite grooming and even doggie sleepovers, which is great as it gives me the chance to have a guilt free night out or a holiday safe in the knowledge that while I’m having fun, so is George!

The one thing I love most is that Halo Dogs is like a home from home for George – Justin, Stu and the rest of the team are like extended family for him and I would never even consider anyone else looking after him – so much so that if I ever move, it will always be to an area in the Halo Dogs catchment! The excitement that fills him when he hears the knock at the door from Stu in the morning is incredible, I open the door and he runs out, not even glancing back to see me stood waving goodbye at the door! I could sing praises for Halo Dogs all day long, they are absolutely outstanding and I am so glad they are a part of our life!

Iggy

English Setter Daycare LondonHalo Dogs are a professional, responsible, reliable dog day care centre! When they pick up our English Setter ‘Iggy’ with their door to door service, he runs to the front door with his tail wagging each time, and there is no better testament than that.

He loves every minute of the day there, and comes home ready for his food and a big sleep. We feel confident that Iggy has the best care, and this reflects in how happy Iggy is himself.

The staff are always courteous, and it is obvious they put the dogs first, and we like that. We feel very confident in recommending Halo Dogs to any dog lovers, as they are dog lovers themselves! ‘Appy days!
