Molly

labradoodle mollyLeaving your beloved Labradoodle pooch and the keys to your home with people who are essentially strangers felt like quite a big risk for a normally cautious person like me. Having met Justin, I decided to follow my instincts and take that risk, and I’m happy to say I haven’t regretted it for one second.

It has been a huge weight lifted to know that I have back up for emergencies and a safe, fun place for Molly to go when I have to do things where she is unable to join me: for example, taking and collecting the Kids from university with a car full of ‘essentials’; visiting elderly relatives without the fear of my ‘bundle of energy’ knocking them flying; being able to enjoy the odd treat (shopping trips, theatre, long birthday lunches etc) without feeling guilty and having to watch the clock; or when life throws a curve ball at you like 2 weeks jury service!

It’s a rare thing to meet people who truly love their job. Justin and his team have a genuine passion for everything they do and that translates into a wonderfully professional and caring service run by thoroughly lovely, caring , fun people with far too much energy to be in a ‘normal’ job!

Our involvement with Halo Dogs has enhanced both our lives. Nothing beats a happy exhausted dog at the end of the day and a Halo Dogs school report card to chuckle over.

Lofty

04 Oct 2010

miniature dacschund loftyHalo Dogs have been a wonderful find. Lofty is a miniature Dachshund who I got when he was just 5 months old, he’s now almost one. He had been mistreated and not socialised with other dogs and humans. He was so scared and did not want to go out for a walk. He would run back home if he saw anyone or a dog .
Justin came to see us and very quickly established a rapport with Lofty. I visited the farm with Lofty and my son Teddy, it is excellent.

Lofty goes to day care 2-3 times a week, he is a different dog, more confident and out going. I also look forward to reading the school report card which tells me what a day he’s had.

The collection and drop off is reliable, I have no need to worry. Sal is our guy and he is so good with Lofty. Lofty has also boarded with Justin, it’s great, he’s actually welcomed into the home. I got pics of him and a progress report. I cannot recommend Halo Dogs, Justin and his team enough. They are first class!

Alfie

boxer alfieAlfie, the Boxer has been a regular fixture at Halo Dogs since he was just 12 weeks old. He has grown into a well adjusted adult, with great social skills and is a very laid back dog!!

He can’t wait to go when the school bus arrives to pick him up, there are no back glances for me, he is off tail wagging eager to go, which is a great reassurance for us. Justin and the team are extended family members for Alfie.

They are always available for queries and advice. Very approachable, very knowledgeable and with great big hearts too.

It has been the best thing we ever could have done for Alfie. They really helped us out at short notice and have been extremely flexible.

The farm is a wonderful place, we loved our tour there. It’s the greatest feeling when we are working, knowing that Alfie is safe, well loved and with great dog’s having fun.

Great pic’s on the facebook page, and we love the school report cards on his daily activities too.

Alfie has also boarded, not in the way most dog’s do, he lives in the house and get’s in with the mix. We really can’t sing their praises loud enough as they deserve, it’s one special place!

Elie Lion

15 Dec 2009

cockapoo elie lionStaff: Friendly and experienced. They always have time for the owners as well as the dogs.

Communication: Regularly keeping owners updated with their dog’s day at the centre (Day Care service) with lots of photos throughout the day. Always contactable regardless of the time and day of the week, to answer any questions or concerns.

Trustworthy and punctual: Pick up and drop off at agreed times.

Environment: Beautiful large green fields where dogs can relax, play and socialise under the watchful eye of the staff.

Summary: Elie Lion, our Apricot Cockapoo has become a lot more confident and sociable, thanks to Justin and his team. We believe that the day care has helped her a lot with some particular training (heel) and playing with other dogs, no matter the size!

BBC All About Animals Magazine Feature – Puppy School at Halo Dogs

Published: October 2009

Halo Dogs was proudly featured in the BBC’s All About Animals magazine, highlighting our pioneering work in early puppy development and positive reinforcement-based training. This article showcases how our structured puppy school provides young dogs with the socialisation and support they need to grow into confident, well-adjusted companions.

Our team at Halo Dogs believes that the first few months of a puppy’s life are the most critical. During this time, we introduce gentle structure, safe play, and emotional enrichment in a countryside environment tailored for exploration and learning. It’s the beginning of a happy, well-behaved dog—and our 540-acre North London estate is the perfect classroom.
