Dog Day Care

At Halo Dogs, we welcome dogs of all ages to our day care programme, provided they are fully vaccinated with all core vaccines. While the Kennel Cough vaccine is recommended, it is not mandatory. An up-to-date vaccination certificate must be available for inspection at all times and should be uploaded to your Client Account Portal. It is your responsibility to ensure vaccinations remain current.

All dogs must be up-to-date with flea and worming treatments.

Every dog must attend an initial assessment with their owner before joining day care. This allows us to ensure suitability, safety, and enjoyment for all dogs in our care.

Dogs attending day care must not show aggression toward people or other dogs. You must inform Halo Dogs of any history of aggression or behavioural concerns. Additionally, you must update us immediately regarding any health or behavioural changes that could impact your dog’s care or interaction with others.

All dogs over 6 months of age must be neutered. Dogs under 6 months displaying sexual behaviour will also require neutering. Chemical castration is acceptable. Females in season cannot attend under any circumstances.

We are happy to administer medication as instructed. We also welcome dogs with regulated medical conditions such as epilepsy or diabetes, as well as blind or deaf dogs, provided their needs are clearly outlined.

Owners may provide their own food along with written instructions, or alternatively, we can supply meals from premium brands.

While Halo Dogs maintains a safe and secure environment, clients acknowledge that reasonable risks exist when dogs interact or engage with enrichment equipment.

In the event of an emergency, you authorise Halo Dogs to seek veterinary attention. You remain liable for any and all veterinary fees and must settle these directly with the vet. Our veterinary partners include Village Vet, Potters Bar and Creature Comforts Barnet. Out-of-hours services are provided by The Royal Veterinary College, South Mimms.

Customers using our chauffeur collection and drop-off service must provide house keys in advance. All staff handling keys are DBS-checked and insured. Collection is between 8:00–10:00am and return between 4:00–6:00pm. Specific time requests cannot be guaranteed.

Dogs are exercised, socialised, and engaged in off- and on-lead activities in our secure countryside grounds. Groupings may be adjusted for the wellbeing of each individual dog.

All dogs must wear a collar with an up-to-date ID tag, as required by law. Microchipping is also a legal requirement.

Our Dog Day Care service operates 7 days a week, including Bank Holidays. We encourage clients to book or cancel with as much notice as possible. Weekday bookings may be made up until midnight the day prior. Weekend and Bank Holiday requests must be submitted by 2pm on the last working day (typically Friday).

If our staff arrive for a scheduled collection and you cancel at the door, a “Cancelled Upon Arrival” fee will apply.

Invoices are emailed on the last calendar day of each month. Payment is expected promptly.

Late payment fees will apply for overdue balances in accordance with our payment terms.

General

Halo Dogs is committed to providing a safe and enriching environment for all dogs. While we take every precaution, clients accept that there are inherent risks involved in dog interactions, physical activity, and the use of facilities. This may include, but is not limited to, injury or death to their dog or others due to biting, fighting, playing, mating, or use of enrichment equipment.

Clients must inform Halo Dogs of any known medical conditions, behavioural issues, or changes that may impact the health or safety of their dog or others. Failure to disclose such information may result in termination of services.

New clients should be aware that their dog may initially experience increased levels of stimulation and activity. This may lead to temporary tiredness, soreness, or minor physical effects as they adjust to the new environment. Our services are provided on farmland, so dogs may return home muddy, wet, or with matted fur.

All dogs over 6 months of age must be neutered. No dog in season is permitted to attend any service. Clients who do not adhere to this policy accept full responsibility for any consequences or incidents that may arise as a result.

All dogs must wear a collar with an up-to-date ID tag and be microchipped in accordance with UK law.

An application form must be completed before any service is provided. Clients agree to update us with any changes in their dog’s condition or circumstances that may affect care or safety. Use of our services confirms acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Halo Dogs reserves the right to withdraw services from any customer or dog at any time, with or without notice or explanation.

These terms may be updated at any time without prior notice. Clients are encouraged to check for the latest version regularly.

We do not share client data with third parties unless required by law. However, we may provide information to a client’s veterinary provider as part of standard professional care, unless explicitly requested not to do so.
