Salih Karava
History at Halo Dogs: Salih, more commonly known as Sal, is one of our longest serving members of the team having joined in 2009. He is an exemplary member of staff and always goes the extra mile to ensure our operations run like clockwork. Sal’s diligence and enthusiasm have earned him the coveted position of Team Leader and is an aspiring manager of the future. One thing to note, if Sal is collecting your dog for the day, be prepared for an early collection!
Best moment at Halo Dogs: “Accepting our second Business Award. I’m so busy dealing with the day to day operations as Team Leader, it was really humbling to be recognised by an external organisation for our efforts and achievements”
Favourite breed: “Spaniels and Dachshunds”
History with dogs, including current pets: Sal’s own dog is an elderly Staffordshire Bull Terrier called Mace, they have both grown up (and growing older) together. Prior to Mace Sal also grew up with a German Shepherd called Zortak.
Interests outside of work: Sal is a family man with his two beautiful young children and lovely wife. He is also a keen footballer and can often be seen during the day playing football with the dogs. When he was younger he was scouted for Charlton Athletic FC, although declined the offer knowing he ultimately wanted to work with dogs instead! Having recently moved into his first house, Sal is quickly becoming quite a DIY enthusiast too.
