Halo Dogs separates discovery from publication. A location can remain in research without being shown to the public until the access claim is strong enough.
Current publication gates
Website listings
Assigned to a London authority, classified Free or Paid, launch-ready, source-backed and not excluded or duplicated.
Detailed pages
Website-ready records with enough unique information to justify a standalone page.
Map records
Website-ready records with a verified coordinate pair inside the London display bounds.
Extension records
The strictest gate: website-ready, map-ready, source-approved and free from current quality warnings.
Research holds
Retained for further work but not exposed in any public feed.
Source priority
- Current council, landowner, park authority or verified operator evidence.
- Current Public Spaces Protection Orders, byelaws and site-specific access rules.
- Official friends groups and managed community sources.
- Directories, articles, social posts and map pins for discovery only until independently verified.
Free and paid classifications
Free means ordinary public entry costs £0. It does not promise free parking, events, attractions or refreshments. Paid means a booking, session or membership charge is part of ordinary access. Unknown, excluded, planned and mixed classifications stay out of the public feed.
Known boundaries
Private Facebook groups and inaccessible map-only directory pins cannot be represented as completed research. Tiny verges, closed areas and spaces without practical dog-walking relevance are not added merely to inflate the count.
Corrections
Rules, prices and operators change. Send a current authority, landowner or operator source whenever possible. Confirmed changes are made in the canonical master and regenerated across every consumer.
